Langka chip repair

Has anyone used this product before for paint chip repairs? I had flyer put in my goodie bag at a car show and was wondering is this product is really as good as the flyer makes it out to be?

I've used it and it does a pretty good job on small chips.

Does it work on plastic and metal? I have a couple of chips that I would like to touch up on my front bumper.

As long as the paint you're using will stick to it the Lanka will work. All the Lanka does is smooth out the blob of touch up paint.

Is it easy to use? Would you recommend it over just using the touch up paint alone? If it can smooth it out and blend it more with the car that would be great.

I decided to go with dr color chip. its a little less expensive but it comes with less material. It doesn't come with the cleaner but I figure I can use some of my own. I think you will be alright with either kit. I usally end up with a mess and the colorchip instructions kind of have you start out with a mess and go from there.

I've used it and don't think it does a very good job. I filled in a scratch and when I used the blob remover to blend it, it took out all of the paint from the scratch. I was back to square one.. Maybe I just don't know what I'm doing or did it wrong..

It sounds like you used too much and too much pressure. I'll dab a little on an old t-shirt then wipe off the excess with my finger, then use light pressure over the blob. Once I have paint on the t-shirt I move to a clean area of the t-shirt and add more Kangka. It's a slow process and you'll have to learn as you go as to how much pressure you'll need.

Here are my examples, the ones on the trunk lid I think I removed too much paint as it looks like wax collects in the repaired areas.

The next repair was where a rock hit me above the windshield, the rock even caused a small dent.

The pictures don't really show the dent but the paint repair looks pretty good compared to the deck lid repair I did first.

Hey Ned, thanks for the pics. I might give it a try on my '99 Stang first and then if all goes well, move on to my '08. If I'm terrible at it, I'll just take the '08 to a body shop and have those guys touch it up.

Good idea! If I order this product, I will practice on my daily driver first and then try it on the stang.

I use it and it works great. When you smooth out the blob you should use the plastic card they give you. That way it won't take the pain out of the scratch only the surrounding area.
