K springs and Konis
Just ordered koni str.t's and my ultralite springs have been waiting for a bit now. Looking forward to this mod.

I have a 2010 and my car came with the GT500 mounts, but i was glad i bought new ones anyway, because my passenger side mount fell apart as soon as i took it off of the spring...added insurance for $100
Found them at moss muscle for under a hundred. And look what came this morning!
Konis and springs are in. I just need strut mounts and camber bolts and I'm good to go!

I know. I'm so excited. I wish I would have started with suspension and wheels. But I think it'll look perfect after this! I'll be sure and post pics
I did the GT500 strut mounts, camber bolts and adj. panhard bar. When I took it in for alignment, the camber bolts let it go right into spec. I installed J&M LCAs right after I bought the car because of the stock bushing's constant squeaking. I have BMR lca brackets that I have not had a chance to install yet. After lowering my 60ft time increased because it now unloads the rear tires because of the incorrect lca angle. I have since installed 4.10 gears and Hot Rod cams and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd spin easily. I am looking forward to getting them installed and see what the cams and gears actually do when the rear tires plant instead of unloading.

No harm done. I think the others will probably tell you to upgrade the arms and what not when they need to be replaced (due to wear and tear or too much power etc) or upgraded (after you lower it or if you want to hook better). Just my guess correct me if I'm wrong fellas.
Lowering with shocks and struts will give you a firmer (sometimes - some people have setups they say is not much different from stock ride) and more reactive mustang (all the springs say reduced nose dive during braking, planted in the turns, etc). Shocks and struts are there to help out when you lower it and want to retain a good ride quality. Lowering without shocks and struts will wear your stock dampers out quicker. There's lots and lots of information and reading to be done about suspension modifications. It all depends on your end goal. I just wanted a lower stance, and if I end up getting too much wheel spin I can always go with lca relocation brackets to correct the angle of the arms.
Another side of the coin is how low you go. Some springs don't even really need new dampers bc the drop is so small. The going measure is anything more than 1.5" lowered, and you "open up a whole other can of worms" they say. At that point your car is lowered so much, most of the stuff is necessary to do it right.
I'd say the key is finding the goal and doing it the "right" way. Hope this helps, and if you guys find anything incorrect please point it out!
