where are you buying the ultras, that link above is just sylvanias site talking about the bulb etc. no link to buy them. thanks for any info I wanted to see how much these were going for.

 

sodaman, the SilverStar Ultras for our cars (H13) won't be available until maybe Feb. or March. At least that is what I got from Sylvania last time I e-mailed them.

 

My understanding is that the Ultras are identical to the regular SilverStars, just with a longer lifespan.

 

I called them last week and was told not until the fall

I have switched the regular Silverstars out for ultra's in two other cars, and the Ultra's seemed a little brighter and a little whiter (and no, I am not just copying this information from Sylvania's website) It wasn't a hugely noticeable difference, but if definitely wasn't worse.

Also, I did not do it just to have the ultra's: I did it so that I could put the regular silverstars into another vehicle to replace the factorys, and then put the ultras in that first vehicle. The cost differential b/w the ultras and regular silverstars was only $3.00, so might as well spend the extra.
