I've hate the GT500!!!!

Well, my GT500 front splitter anyways. I cant figure out how to put the **** thing on. I suck with a saw, to I cut the side honeycombs off, and scratchedd it up to the edge that might hang out a little...but I dont know how to bolt this crap up. If I line it up with the 2 screws in the middle, and the ones on the sides, the side wongs wont match and the front sticks out way too far and the holes are revelealed. If I push it back to where only the last piece edge thing sticks out, then the holes under dont match up. WTF?!

Can someone please post some under bumper shots of how you tacked it up, or im going to kill someone. I looked at those other threads, no one posted pics under the bumper, or what they used to tack it up, or where they cut, or whatever. I almost lost a **** finger while I was at it.

Soooooo, help me please.

I never understood the fascination with the front splitter. Dirt/grit will get trapped in the part where it meets the fascia, causing excessive wear on the fascia. This happens all the time with any type of parts that bolt to the front end (license plate brackets, grilles, etc...)

going to assume your installing it on the GT bumper? If so just just books, stands anything to line it up where you want and drill new holes. Can't be that hard.

I would love one of these, but would much prefer it attached to the front end of a GT500!

Took me a good weekend to get mine right. Looks nice. But there is a lot more too it than just some trimming. I made custom plugs and stuff to fill in the holes not being used. On the car, they can either look like crap, or great, depends on the installer.

I did take mine off for the winter. It would act like a snow shovel otherwise.

Agreed...it's not a simple "trim-job"...it's a full-blown custom fabrication to make it look *right*.

To the OP...you have to make your own holes. Some you can line up, and some you will have to determine the best location. You will need some extra hands/vise grips/etc, and just use trial and error with where to drill holes, trying to utilize the factory holes of either the splitter and/or the bumper itself.

Here's my little how-to...it may help, it may not.
