Thumbs up Looks really sharp .....

Making my decision much easier for the wheels. The GT500 wheels look awesome plus the GT500 brakes fit as well.

This is one of the best GT500 conversions I've seen. I love that color.

I seriously love how your car looks, and I don't think anyone here is telling you what to do with your car, but you honestly can't sit back and be surprised when people call you out for the GT500 lettering and badging.

Like I said before, the badging I can kinda give a pass for, the lettering, sorry no dice. I've sent the pics around to several mustangers and all of them said the same thing. Nice car, but why does a V6 have GT500 on the side?

Nice looking car and you are right no one is paying for your ride here, it is a free country and you can do as you wish with YOUR car. Most people will never get over the fact that a mustang can have a V6 in it and be a preformance car and fast.
Below is Flapjack on this site, I think he has 440 RWHP and 388 RWTQ not bad for a 6 huh guys?

Heres Rygens car, he is putting down more RWHP than a GT500, oh and its only a 6!

Wow, you have COMPLETELY missed the point. I know about fast V6's, I was a member at 3.8mustang/v6power for years and years, and saw some V6's that would smoke pretty much anything. Even if a V6 is FASTER than a Gt500, it's still not a Gt500, and putting cobra badges/gt500 badges is rice, the equivalent of a "Type R" logo on a civic. I'm all for powerful v6's, if you got a 440rwhp, put on some ponies and a v6 badge so that vette knows it just got smoked by a base model mustang!

I am really sorry that I am going to take this off the subject for a moment but my mouth fell open when I read the V6 #'s.... I had no idea they some were pushing those kind of #'s! Although, at 13psi I can understand.

I agree that Flapjack is running great numbers out of his V6, but he's also done pretty extensive work with the heads and cams, and with the internals of the V6 you can push 13 psi with confidence.

Rygen's car, as impressive as it is, is on a built motor. Sure he had ridiculous numbers on his stock block too, but you can't really compare a built motor with a turbo to a standard V6.

You really seem to have a "thing" for the V6's...

I posted these to show that this is not a typical V6 car, its far from the old mustang V6's. It doesn't take alot to do good things with them.
2 more examples, Boss 244 is running a 14.1 1/4 mile with a N/A V6, Buckman is running 12.2 1/4's with a powerhouse turbo. I am running 14.4 with a CAI, 3.73 UDP and tune. There really is no V6 out there with as much potential and strong internals. It makes power at 2400RPM honda hits 240 HP at 6700RPM, not much room for tuning there...
There was lots of bashing because this guy put money into his V6 and might get beat by another car and that would be a bad thing.
It doesn't take much to make the 4.0 a fast motor. Heck your 4.6L that you have is 3 valve heads if Ford put 3valve heads on the 4.0L what would it do? I posted those above to show that much can be done with it. One day I would love to get a V8 motor again but I currently like being the under dog and fact is I am smoking my other mustang I had with this LITTLE V6....

that's great v6's are running those times, it really is. But you're missing the POINT of the ENTIRE thread, which is that absolutely no amount of mods, or even 800rwhp will make his car a GT500/Cobra. I had a modded 99 V6 for a long time and I was always defending its performance, but I proudly stuck a v6 badge on my car. If you are so proud of being the "underdog" then why not use a v6 badge??

Um cause mine came with a pony badge which is what ford badged the V6 "pony" with. Does it really matter that much that he BOUGHT HIS OWN badges for the car? Does it matter that much he wanted to make his own GT500 which people have been doing for 35 years to stock Mustangs.

Oh BTW the point of the entire thread was this guy "introducing his car to the Forum and thanking KC for his help" It took on a life of its own like thread usually do. Thank you for letting me know what the thread was not about thou!

But how's 400rwhp sound to you? That's going to be my next project on this V6. Either a paxton or X-charger at 8psi to 11psi. I'm just deciding which one is more durable and easier to maintain since ultimately it will be a daily driver.

That's funny. I've seen blown or turbo cars on here that are running what my GT ran with gears and an intake.

Love the look!! I just realized that some of the conversions have stayed with the stock hoods and I must say it gives it a very unique look!!!

Like it!

I love the clone idea, done this with my 1999 F 150 and all Lightning parts. I figure this way as mentioned above, OEM os way better than afternarket trying to make something look factory, clone is the way to go as long as you repsect the real GTs on the road today.

Looks pretty good in GO I must say. I'm not a fan of the badges or whatever, but its chill. Not my car, and like you mentioned, not my money. s'long as you think its cool good job.

I would have skipped the striping completely personally; the other cars that were posted that just had the body parts and still were sold colors look FREAKING awesome.

I can't wait to see that baby boosted do keep us updated
