Well here is what it would look like. To me the grille is too narrow to make this look right.

It might look better for you with a different grille than the one I have. You can always black out the pillars in black vinyl decal material, that way you can peel it off if you sit with it and still do not like it.

I have to admit I do like the look of the 1971-73 front ends and with the pillars blacked out on the 05-09 front end it does have some resemblance to those classic model years.

I there !

Have you consider staying in the boss theme ? like a mat black hood ( can be done in wrap vinyl, cheap and can be removed ) -pic 1 and add hood lock pin -pic 2
And ................. rear window loover + black rearend panel !!

Just my 2 cents ...................

I really do not like the large matte black area on the hood like the 1969 Boss 302 has.

I now have my gloss black OE styled hood scoop installed. All I am waiting for is my hood stripe to show up so I cab have it installed and I will be finished. I already have a black magnetic panel on the decklid.

I got a set of side scoops, painted them and installed them last weekend. Today I installed a black CDC front air dam that is the same one used on the V6 Sport Appearance Package.

Right now I am looking like this:

It is not OEM from Ford but it is an exact replica. It's high quality and easy to install. The perimeter uses double sided tape (unlike the factory scoop) while you can optionally put screws in it from underneath the hood. I used the tape and two screws. And the key is to mount it 8.5 inches from the back edge of the hood which is the factory location.

I bought it off eBay Mine was $129 painted with free shipping... Just scroll through the auctions of the same seller to find the one the right color.

Here is the listing... Just search that seller's listings for different colors.

Ford Mustang Hood Scoop
