I need Splash Guards!!! Shelby Maybe??

Unfortuanatley I need splash guards because the garage I park in always has water and everyday I get the water behind the rear tires.... Drives me insane. Anyway, I have noticed that the shelby splash guards are much more attractive then the standard ones for a mustang. Has anyone installed these? Do they install easy? Also do they work well?

I just put on a pair an hour ago. They don't fit a GT perfectly, but good enough. Very easy to install. You use two screws that hold the bumper cover to the wheelwell and a clip built into the splash guards. We'll see how they protect and keep the rear bumper cover clean.

Really? That's amazing! I could have sworn I just put them on my GT. What was I doing two hours ago? Here's a pic of someone else who did it:

yeah the only reason i went with the regular molded guards was because i do not think that the GT/CS ones will work as well as the molded ones, i wanted something that will help with the rubber that kicks up when i am at the track and all the mud that is around here with all the dips we have in the roads, water just builds up and it kick all over the rear panels, it sucks, but the GT/CS ones will work but not cover as much as the molded ones and there is a small hole that can be seen if you look at it closley

I have them on my GT/CS and they work good. On a GT they will come out more on the side but look OK and they work. We just put them on a GT so i know they work,we got them for $10.66 from ford.

They are made for the GT500 or GT/CS rear fasia. Here is how they fit on my GT/CS, but anything can be adapted to fit.

Are the splash guards a Ford part? Is there a version for the standard GT?

Yes, there is a molded one specifically for the GT and V6. They're bigger and more expensive but very nice. Do a search on 'splash' and you'll find several threads about it.

Thanks.

Most threads do seem to be for the CS, but I found this link to a set on e-bay:

You can get them from ford for under $11.00 for the same thing.

No, actually you don't! Many have installed them on the standard GT bumper, here's mine on the original GT bumper. Had them on about 2 months now.

Your's sticks out much less than mine. Do you have both screws attached to the guards? It looks like you're not using the lower screw or the clip that goes on the inside of the bumper cover.

The only thing I'm seeing in the Mustang accessories catalog are mud-flap type of things - bigger than the splash guards pictured above.

And I didn't see any place on the Ford site listing accessories.
