I actually don't like that design. I recall one of the cars at sema (CDC) had ones that only had 4 (or 3) vents that stuck to the body instead of the window. I just don't like the ones that are the same shape of the window.

I'm still undecided as to which louvers I'm getting, but I will be getting one soon.

You would have to get them painted, they are not painted when you get them, but doesn't look like ROUSH is even offering them yet :bang:

 

My guess would be they would eventually order them in all the standard colors, or is that too logical? But I agree those are nice. Wonder how they are mounted? Those look like bolts on those things!

 

those look like they were just bolted into place, it would look clean if they had of filled them

 

I preordered the ones from 3dcarbon and those aren't painted either. I guess noone sells them painted.

Can you see anything with the vents/louvers installed? That'll make a HUGE blind spot. I think it's kind of funny how everyone wants to add them when Shelby took them off in 1966.

The rear quarter windows are one of the styling features I really like on the 05! The louvers would look OK but they aren't functional are they? They aren't air vents, right?

 

They are purely cosmetic features. Yes, they do create a blind spot though. I drive a convertible. When to top is up I have almost no visibility so for me it wouldn’t be much of a change. As long as they don’t mess anything up on the car I will most likely get louvers.

 

Actually I can't see much out of that window to begin with.

 

These from the SEMA show are pretty Hott too. Pretty similar if not the same. They look cleaner than the one's from Roush IMO-- I guess because you can't see the screws ???

 

Does anybody offer Louvers yet for the rear window?

 

Check out the aftermarket link under the production car on the site. There were a couple rear window louvers presented by Aftermarket vendors. Not sure if they're available yet though.

What happens when dirt gets behind them? Do they come off and go back on easily? If not you will be able to see dirt from inside the car (unless you cover the window) and you would not be able to clean it. I'm a neat freak, that would really irritate me.

 

OK, that's it. I need to know who makes these ones
