the middle number is an aspect ratio, so the sidewall changes.

example of a x/40/18
x is a 255 = 4.01" sidewall
x is a 275 = 4.33" sidewall
x is a 295 = 4.64" sidewall

I don't have it on me at the moment, but if you go to Nitto's site you can look up the part number. I called the number for Discount Tire Direct off of Nitto's site and spoke with a guy there. He had to order them from California (he was in Arizona) so I just had to pay extra shipping.
