I have been thinking about doing the same thing. I was just worried about the texture on the mirror, and how it would look? Is yours smooth or still have the rough feel to it like the stock mirrors? Thanks for the pics

PS: Are those the "Chrome" bullits or the polished aluminum? What size? Thanks
The area that was painted is smooth since the area was sanded and a special soap and a primer designed to make the paint adhere to the plastic.

As to the rims...they are chrome bullitt wheels, stock wheels that were chromed.
I exchanged the stock bullitts from my 03 Mustang GT. and when the 05 came in I had the dealer swap them for me so I could keep my chrome wheels on the 05

If you live in the Los Angeles area and want to have the mirrors painted let me know and I'll ask my neighbor if he's interested in painting them.

I talked to him today and told him you were interested in having your mirrors painted and he said he would do the job.
The only concerns he has is that he likes to get some money upfront to buy the materials he would need to do the work, but that shouldn't be a problem.
Let's say you decide to get the work done...you come down and meet with my neighbor and myself. give him the money and he goes out and gets everything and we could go out an get something to eat or maybe catch a movie, then when we get back maybe you're car will be ready to go.

If you're concerned about quality of the work I'd be happy to meet you someplace so you can check out my mirrors.

One more thing...the guy works weekdays and sometimes on Saturday.
Usually he knows sometime during the week that he's working on the weekend, but sometimes gets a call in the morning.

So if you decide to get the work done and set up an appointment we can exchange numbers so we can confirm the guy is still available to do the work on your car.
