How to remove side scoops

I put on some lower cervinis scoops and I dont like the fact that you can see the grey double sided tape showing around the whole thing. So I went to advanced and bought some new tape an plan on taking a sharpie to the side of it to help hide the grey. The problem I'm facing is how the heck do I get the scoops off?

Use a heat gun. If you don't have one, try using a hair dryer. The heat will soften the double sided tape and make it easier to remove from the paint. Some advice; pull off SLOWLY!! You don't want to take paint off with them.

Use monofilament fishing line to "cut" the foam portion of the tape. Done properly it will not hurt the paint, but will make short work of the tape. Then the fun of cleaning up the residue begins...

Heat gun works the best. No elbow grease needed to remove left over glue.

Braided fishing line (like Spiderwire) works better than monofiliment (IMO). The braid has more friction points as well as no strech. Nothing to it... I personally used the 10/50 (since that is what is on most of my bassin' rigs).
