How about removing side windows and installing
Jack... that pic of the gold Mustang chop made me start thinking. I know you were trying to figure out what to do with your car. How about doing a '69 Mach1 tribute like that chop. Keep your MRT louvers painted to match the car (to blend in... since the '69 Mustangs didn't have 1/4 louvers). And then get the CDC shaker and chin spoiler (black), black-out the hood and spoiler, and get some MRT rear-window louvers. Finish it off by replacing the stock "GT" emblems with ones that say "Mach1" and add a black side stripe. Talk about a sick car...

I probably won't black out the spoiler - not really my style. I'll also probably put some sort of black accent on the sides. I really like the C-stripes on the Cobra Jet - nice and thin and run long on the top from the headlight, curve around the side panel, and run short to about halfway through the door. If that's workable on an '05, I may do that. If not, black rocker panel stripes are a possibility, but honestly don't turn me on that much.
Anyway - it's a work in progress and I appreciate the ideas and the pictures (do you have a particular place you get photos of old 'stangs?)
Oh, also - For some reason, I'm really loathe to badge my car with anything its not, such as Mach 1, Boss, Shelby, etc. I understand its just a tribute, and that's cool to some folks (which is fine by me), but something vicerally turns me off about it. I'm kicking around the idea of replacing the GT emblems with the running ponies, but I'm not even sure about that.
At some point I may PM you about how you made your scoop functional. I know you routed it (via the liner) to the CAI, which is cool. Also, I think you're the only person who has done something like that and said you felt a significant gain. Also cool.
PM me anytime, bro. I'd be more than willing to help you out with that. One thing though... and this doesn't matter to me but may to you... if you make the hood scoop functional (and don't route pipe fully and seal off the air filter with a heat box), it will be impossible to keep the engine bay clean. Not sure if you are the type who likes a clean engine bay or not. It didn't bother me. But it's something to think about.
As far as where I get the pics... I get them here on TMS. Brad has a timeline with tons of pics.
