I ordered the Cali dream hood which is functional. If it doesn't help the car or at least have the potential to help the car then I don't want it.

I would consider one if it were functional and skinned in aluminum.

If I were looking at a car with Hood Scoops, I would like them to have a purpose other than just looks, but it would not be a deal breaker if they were non-functional.

I prefer one that is functional. The California Dream Hood really has my attention. I think it looks downright mean

Sure it would be great if it's functional... but it doesn't have to be! If you find one that you think will look good on your car, get it whether it's functional or not! After all, most of us have some sort of rear spoiler on our cars, either factory or aftermarket, which really aren't functional unless you are driving at speeds in excess of 100mph (IMO)...

Functional all the way.
Now if it came factory with a non-functional I may leave it, but adding one to me it makes no sense to just add"deco".

RK Sport ram air hood, ducting ties right into my Steeda CAI

I put down that it had to be functional but more importantly, it needs to look like it belongs on the hood and was not just an afterthought. I would prefer it be a little more rounded on the edges and blend into the hood nicely.

As a side note, I would rather see the Shelby Cobra with a hood scoop than those cheesey vents that are on there now.

About 99% of the hood scoops I've seen on Mustangs have been pretty non-functional. I have no problem with that, each to their own. I like my hood scoopless though.

If I had my choice I'd rather have a plain hood or a functional scoop that would be subtle like the concept hood. Tack on scoops are just so TACKY !

Voted for functional but if it looks cool enough then it's ok too.

For me, I would want a functional scoop. But I don't mind if others have a non-functional scoop.

Substance over style--no sense in adding one if it isn't functional.

I voted funtional. With that in mind, I will be getting the CDC Shaker system added to my car within the first few months, after it arrives in the next few weeks. I love that scoop.

I have a functional Saleen aluminum heat extraction hood. I also have a Saleen blower under it.
Having a non-functional scoop is like stuffing a sock down the front of your drawers.

Functional if taking the time to do an "add-on", but would take non-functional if tastefully offered from the factory. Waiting on a "V6 Shaker" for my 'Vert, but getting antsy as Winter slowly cralls towards Spring. Hood up-grade over a "tack-on" scoop though, could be in the future.

This is a two prong question. If I'm spending the extra money for a scoop then I would prefer it to be functional but, if it comes from the factory with a non functional scoop I wouldn't turn it down.
