Hood Pins - Cammer

I also noticed in another picture of the cammer that they added 2 more pins for a total of 4! I wonder if this has anything to do with the hood vibration people are talking about at high speeds??

oh man those are slick, where can I find those
That makes sense, Clint. Thanks for the explanation.
And I still like the hood pins and lanyards vs. the screw in type. Those are slick though, but I just like the aggressive, kinda mean look that the others give you. I guess it depends if you are going for a classy '05 or more of a mean muscle car look.

Once again I would like to point out that the 4 hood pins are in the front of the hood. If there were to be used instead of hinges you would have 2 in the front and 2 in the back, which I have seen several times. The car in question had 2 installed on the far outside corners and then they added to more closer to the center so that really has nothing to do with hinges.

Mustangdepot.com I thought you would know of these being you're a Shelby GT350 Member. These are classic for many Shelby Cobras as well as for the 1970s Machs. B)

Sorry Charlie. They have the three prong....but no picture. I believe 1970 MachI and 1971-1973 Ram Air MachI Hood Lock listed on the same page are what you what we want. The previous post showing the actual hood and retainer is of a 1970 MachI I believe.

I am only a Shelby GT350 member because of the amount of my posts. I have seen screw style locks before but not like the ones in that pic. They were pretty slick.

Does any one have first hand knowledge of the installation of these hood pins? Is this the underside attachment bracket? I really want to install these on my car but have not found a clear answer to what I need to purchase  . Thanks :worship:
Guys, I have the Summit Racing Hood pins installed. Here's a link to my write-up (note, I changed my name to 05SatinSilver, I didn't get my legend Lime Green) http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?...light=hood+pins
They are easy to install, just take your time and measure carefully! As my other post says, i tried the locking one's, but our hood angle is to much for the locks to work! I think the push-&-twist one's, may run into the same problem? They need to be mounted on a flatter surface.
