Hood PINS

Is anyone using the FRPP hood pins? If not anything from Fords catalog or maybe steeda, those are the two easiest suppliers for me to get up here. Will these fit the 05+ If not what is everyone using, this hood flexes at speed

I have the FRPP hood pins. They do fit the 05, and not only in the location where I installed them.

Do a search, there are a few other threads on the subject, but the pics may have been lost a while ago during website migration.

I had a problem with hood flex before I raised all the hood stops to their near limit. That fixed it for me.

I love the look of these hood pins. Gives the car a real "race car" look...

from what I read inthis thread, they arent really long enough to go where I would like. I dont want them in the center, I was hoping to drill out the bump stops and slide right through. Hmmmm, Ill have to look into that. Does anyone think they will be long enough for that?

I like CDC's, but I also don't like drilling unecesarily, wich is why I went with them.

Here are some pictures from my other thread.

FRPP hood pins You have to weld the nut on for them to be long enough.

Home depot has a long nut that you can use so you won't have to weld just use a jam nut.

SC67STANG did a great write up awhile back on installing pins. Unfortunately, the pics are gone, but there's a great how-to in post #31. I used his directions and had no problems whatsoever.
