About the guy who's hood flew open.... i'm confused....... Even if the hood pin latches were removed, wouldn't the stock hood latch still be holding the hood down?

On the present topic: initially I did install the lanyards, but due to the location of my pins (see my avatar) they didn't look right on the car. The lanyards were plastic-coated steel wires, therefore there was never any risk of paint scratching.

Does anyone know of pins that require a key to remove the pin. And also, if you have lanyards to the flop around a whole bunch on the highway?
Anyone have a closeup of the steeda pins installed. They look pretty good but I would like to see a closer view of them on a car.
