I want to purchase them but afraid to scratch up the paint?? Anyone have then???

The only ones I have seen specifically for 05's are the stick on ones from CDC. I'm sure there are hundreds of kits however, as they should be pretty generic. As far as ruining the paint, well, you are drilling 2 holes through the hood, so yeah, sort of. Ford didn't exactly design these cars with the intent of you drilling holes in it.

Lots of ways to seal up that kind of stuff. I wouldn't be worried about the holes you drill, I'd be more worried about the cables that connect to the pins rubbing into the paint. You wouldn't think about installing the pins without the cables would you? :nono:
