Hood Pin Install
Hood Pin Install
Steeda has quoted me $320.00 to install a set of hood pins on my stang and I think this is a little expensive. I live in a condo and I personally have no place to do this kind of work. Do you think the install price is to high or is it normal for this kind of work?
Yes that is expensive but I have to look at it from their perspective. They are charging you labour, plus if they screw up they owe you a new hood. So most likely there is a little markup so if they do screw up, after doing a few more installs they will start making a profit again.
Here's an article somepne wrote on how to do the hood pins.

That's a very good "how to"! I didn't use the bottom of the 2 pieces because it can cause you to dimple your hood if you overtighten the 2 pieces together. You can't see it anyway because of the hood blanket.
here's one I found on ebay...
