hood with more room for blower?

My supercharger pulley and a few bolts on top are touching my stock hood (the pulley has eaten through the insulation and is now rubbing the hood).

So I'm in the market for a hood with more room. I see the classic looking 'cowl' hood is available from steeda, are there any other hoods that aren't to flashy (no scoops or highly visible buldges?) that would offer me some more room? Are there any hoods that have a more gradual buldge on the sides towards the center instead of the more harder cut cowl that sticks up? If not, then I guess the steeda cowl is my ownly choice?

I assume that the steeda cowl hood actually has more room than the stock hood, is this a correct assumption? Or is it all just looks on top and no actual extra room under there?

i'm in the same shoes as you are, with my Shelby CS6 hood not clearing my Whipple pulley or air intake..
we decided the best way out was to cut through certain areas of the bottom fiberglass sheet on the hood, and replace the engine mounts with performance ones that would effectively drop the entire engine down a bit, giving me a little more clearance.

i think replacing the bushings/mounts might solve your problem without changing the hood..

I took the insulation out today, and it looks like only the insulation was rubbing, not the actual hood. That's good!

Since I have already started a thread on this, is there a site somewhere that lists ALL (or most) of the hoods that are available for our cars?

the steeda hood looks nice and now cervini's has a 2.5" cowl instead of their crazy 4" cowl, thanks for the heads up now so i can see if the Cervini's M1 hood will clear, i think it will though since it does not have the liner, and i did not know the CS6 hood was FG, the stock hood is aluminum with cork in the middle

are there any other cowl options in addition to Steeda and Cervinis?

Looks like the Cervinis "eleanor" hood might work as well, looks like the hump in the hood was made just for a top mount blower! I assume that hump has empty space underneith it?
