I guess if you're into the "cruising" scene and all you do is drive slowly in a straight line then I guess you're ok. But if you actually like "driving" your Mustang you'll hate the fact that it rides like a buckboard and you'll forever cringe everytime you take a corner, go over a speedbump, park..... need I go on.

22" is waaaaaay too much wheel, forget the looks. These cars are made to be driven!
B) Ditto SictySix

Also:
Rire seem to wear faster, especially on the thinner sidewalls.

Rougher ride

Lot of unspring weight which will require larger brakes, don't forget new proportioning valve, to keep stopping power.

Would expect them to go thru pads faster

Personally I think 20" are a little large for this car. After all it's a car and not a truck .... I drive too much and don't even run Dubs on my truck.

However, when all is said and done it's up to you and whatever floats your boat

it amazes me that alot of people are saying that its a car so dont run bigger wheels like 20 and 22's but people put 17 and 18's on civics all day long with stock breaks and no problems and they come with 14's factory and the stang is a lot bigger then a civic has bigger fender wells and much larger breaks so if they come with 17's facotry then why cant you go 4 or 5 inches bigger on wheels?? when i had my ram it came with 17's stock and 13 inch breaks and the dealer said i would have no problems running a 24 on it with those breaks now thats 7 inches more wheel on 13 inch breaks so im pretty sure the breaks on the gt with hold 22 inch wheels under normal driving conditions i dont plan on driving it hard and i cant in houston triffic anyway hahahaha

I run 22's on my 300c and they look like 20's to me now. I've had the tires for a year with 15k miles and know wear or ride issues.

Once again, I don't care what size wheel it is, 16, 17, 18, 19 , 20, 22, even 24.
IT WILL NOT FILL THE WHEEL WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only changing the tire diameter, lowering the car or modifying the fender with extensive body work will do that.

vc4life You said you wanted your car to look like the ones in the pictures you posted. If all you do is put 22's on there, it won't. Those cars are lowered about 3".

OK. Forget the performance issues (300 hp is plenty for me... for now) Throw out all those reasons and the 22's just plain look stupid. A lot of poeple are saying it's OK if you're only concerned with looks. I disagree. "Looks" is the best reason NOT to get them. But hey. If you want the 22's, go ahead and get "a set a faux gold teeth with [your] intials encrusted in rhine stones too, ...yea those are cool " (quote stolen from nynvolt)

As for the Civic comment. It's not about putting them on a car. We don't care how stupid a Civic owner wants to look. It's about putting them on a Mustang.

One last thing. vc4life If you'll improve your writing skills and use some punctuation, it'll make it a lot easier to read your post and you won't appear to be 12 years old. (I tried to say that as politely as possible)

ONE I HAVE 20s and i love it no wear issues not a rough ride if you know what your doing you will be fine on both and another thing snoop is not the first one to have that car 50 cent is. People like diff. things some people like performance and runnin 200 down the street me i like to hit up shows and break necks i have been in the show scene since i was 15 years old each person builds there rides to there tastes and there likes so dont knock someone because they like 20s or 22s cuz you dont see us knocking anyone with 17 inch wheels stop hating and respect the life style. If anyone has any questions on anything i have said feel free to e-mail me at bagged00ranger@yahoo.com. Mike i have the SSM profile just waiting till it gets out the body shop from getting shaved to put pics on. there are a few on the www.acrophobia.net site. hit me up anytime

Wow, kind of bitter sounding. Let that man do what he wants with his car, you say tomato and I say bannanna. I'm sure he realizes the work that went into achieving the 3d carbon look, and we all agree that the look is astounding. Take a xanax.
