Help from those with painted rims!

I just bought a set of razors in black. Problem is that I can't get one of the caps to set properly. I think it might be a small amount of overspray, but not sure. I tried using some grease, still no go.

Has anyone had problems like this with painted rims? And tips or tricks I could try to get the thing on???

Thanks,

Al

Check for any damage on the inside of the cap area and the cap itself. You should be able to see excess spray there especially if you have black ones. Did you try removing the o-ring on the cap to see if it still fits? Worst case you could take some super fine sandpaper or emory cloth to the inside of the area. I would still mask off the face of the wheel though to protect it.
