HELP! Need BEST painter/panel fixer in San Diego
HELP! Need BEST painter/panel fixer in San Diego
Today some douchebag in a lifted yellow Hummer H2 kicked a freaking fist sized rock up at me on the 5, and it nailed my rear 1/4 panel, on the wheel lip. Went all the way through the paint but made no dents.
What and WHO is the best way to get this fixed? 3 week old 07' Alloy

Chris, sorry to hear that. Since you just got your car, why don't you check out your dealer's body shop. I'd first want to see a sample of their work. You might be surprised. You could also checkout custom paint shops in your area. If the damage is in a single area and not too widespread, I would request that they only paint the damaged area and blend it with the rest of the same panel. In my humble opinion, that way your panel will still be the original paint where it meets the other panels so it will match perfectly. Some places want to paint the whole panel, charge you alot of money, and then you might have a slight mismatch. But all this depends on the quality of the work because your paint is not faded since it is new. Good luck, and I'm sure it will be fine!

I personally park about a mile away from everyone so I don't have to go postal on someone's car in the event this happens to me.
