They call me the Parts Pimp for a reason!

Lots in stock in both black and silver. You can also order them from my website as well.

Depending on the distance from your favorite radio station and it's signal strength, this antenna may have an adverse effect on reception.

Glenn,

You gotta tell people about this possibility so they don't whine about it. I don't want to mislead anyone about any product. But, I can get a radio station that is about 60 miles away with it. Lots of customers find this antenna to be a worthwhile mod.

Given the increasing popularity of Satellite Radio, iPods, etc, fewer people rely on the factory, fishing rod -looking antenna. Plus, I had a customer stopped in who saw this shorty antenna and thought it would save him from having to take his stock antenna on and off when he used the car cover.

I know it is not for everyone, but I try to offer some solutions. As with some mods, style maybe be more important to function to some people.

I hope this helps.

If I can get the car and the camera in the same place at the same time, I will.

It actually looks pretty good. I wonder how well it functions. I have a cover and have to take my antenna off. I have forgot to put my antenna on few times and strong stations did come in fine.

So compared to the stock antenna how well is the reception with this thing? Looks wise it is perfect, but I still want to be able to use my radio.

Reception is going to vary based on station strength, terrain, weather, distance, etc.

I guess it is form, convenience, or style over function in some cases. I wish I knew a way to quantify it, but I do not. With so many people using Satellite radio (which relies on a separate antenna), iPods, MP3s, etc, an alternative antenna that improves the car's look is something the marketplace wanted. I sell many every week.

Do like the person above did, take off you stock antenna and drive around and see if it works for you. If you still get acceptable reception, than this antenna is for you.

Looks good. My car is silver, so I am thinking silver on the antenna, but with a black antenna base, maybe black is a better route.

Hmmmm. any opinions?

IMO, I would use the black antenna regardless of the car color.
