Question GTS Tail light covers fitment problem?

Did anyone have a fitment problem with these? I stuck them on this morning, without attaching the velcro. They look good, but I am unable to close the trunk without rubbing. Are they not set right? Am I missing something? Anyone else have this problem?

The GTS covers aren't the best fitment wise but man are they sweet looking. It gets a little better when you put on the velcro. I just put them as far to the outside as possible so they don't rub the trunk. It also helps to put some rubber on the bottoms so they don't slide around so much. Same for the front if you got those.

I had the same problem with them and the headlight covers. I tried trimming them up a little but I still could not get them to fit right. I ended up tinting the headlight and the taillights. They turned out much better with the tint (just my opinion anyway).

I was thinking of tinting, but I want to be able to remove them real quick if necessary. I guess I will try trimming them. I tried to move them over as far as they would go, but they still rub.

BTW, mine came with rubber already installed on the bottom.

No luck with mine either, the Drivers side would hit the top of the trunk and the side. I tried several different ones with no luck. I took them off and I am going to ebay them.

What kind of tint did you use? That is exactly what I want.

I got the tint from stickercity.com. Keep in mind that the tint only covers the flat part of the taillight (three sections per light). I removed the taillights and painted the grooved indentations black first then tinted the taillights on mine. They do look good without painting the indented part of the lights but I liked the completely blacked out look myself.

I installed them last night. I shaved a lot off of the drivers side so it wouldn't hit the trunk. Passenger's side went on without modifation. They do look good, but I would expect fitment to be a lot better. FWIW, they do stick out a little further that what I would like. They are worth it for someone who wants a real easy removal.
