GT500 Replication Parts Here!!!!

Well it looks like someone finally made an aftermarket Shelby GT500 hood that looks like the concept, as well as a new front bumper modeled after the GT500.

Supposedly Kaenen Performance makes all this stuff...

I think the scoops are what make the hood. Without scoops it will basically just look like the stock GT hook with a small and subtle cowl.

Thumbs up Just in time with the info !!!!!

I was about to purchase the GT500 hood & vents in two weeks.
Thinking about this one, but the vents look like they are too long !
Just compared it to the concept.

This looks like the hood that was on the original debut of the GT500 at the NY Autoshow in 2005.

I don't think the vents are more than 1-2" longer, but the thing that makes it look bad is they didn't paint in the stripes....its an illusion, just a trick on your eyes

Thumbs down Plus the vents look bigger from the front going back

Take it look at the originally shelby gt500 concept and this hood. The shelby gt500 one looks more subdued.

Not sure what you are getting at or what you mean by 'Subdued?'...But its pretty hard to compare the different hoods when you have such different angles in both the pictures.

I zoomed in the image above and by adjusting the color I was able to find the edges of the vent. I agree that the angle and lighting of the image have an impact. If you look at the image with the V6, GT, and GT500 - those scoops look huge too. The aftermarket hood's scoops do look wider though.

I'd like to have that hood if it wasn't for the vents. The low cowl by itself would look great on a GT, IMO.

Maybe the design was altered just enough to avoid any potential "legal action" on Ford's part?
