I completed the GT500 nose conversion on my GT, but there are 2 extra holes in the GT500 radiator cover that don't connect to anything. I just put some trim plugs in the holes, but am curious as to what they hook to on a Shelby.

 

The pics in the thread below should help you out. If you look at the pic shot from above with the cover removed, you can see there's an extra pair of plastic brackets at that location. Further down there's a shot of the radiator from the front. It appears the brackets are molded onto the top of a pair of plastic air shields to the left and right of the radiator.
