GT350 Scoop Question
I was wondering if there were any scoops out there that resembled the gt350 scoop heres a site where you can see a few pics:

The only scoops I've seen that are close are the one on the Shelby GT and I hate the rivets and then the Roush Scoop. Unfortunately the Roush Scoop is a little tall and isn't rounded out enough. I want something really close to this but it has to be proportional to the car ofcourse to look right. Anyone know someone who makes this? Or someone who can make this? I've been searching for the perfect hood for months and in reality this is what I want. Any advice is beyond appreciated!

p.s. - the Shelby GT scoop is nearly exactly what I want except I hate those horrible rivets and I asked one shop in the Houston area if they thought they could custom do it so the side portions with the rivets just wasn't there and they said they didn't think so

Yeah, that Shelby GT scoop looks pretty bad. It was originally made for an AC Cobra and doesn't belong on a Mustang.
Not only is the Roush scoop taller, it has a strange slant on the front edge. The closest thing out there (right now) is the scoop Ford uses in the GT appearance package. However, it's about as tall as the Roush scoop.
You could buy a 65/66 hood scoop, but I don't know how easy/hard it would be to mold a fiberglass scoop to an aluminum hood.

Original style, no rivets, bolt on, no molding.

awesome you think that would look small or out of place on the current stang? Also you think theres a diagram set up to easily make it a functional hood?

Just my 2 cents but I think that you would find that the 65/66 GT scoop would be too small on the 05+ Mustang. I put the Roush on mine because I wanted the 65/66 look but with a larger scoop that fits the larger hood better.

Buck, it depends on what you mean by "functional". If you just want a hole in the hood, that is easy, but not really helpful. If you look at where the factory system sucks in air (from behind the driver's headlight) there isn't a really simple way to get air from the center of the hood to the area where cold air might be useful, even if you use a CAI. In the 60's, you had an air cleaner sitting right on top of the engine and it was easy. Now, unless it's designed that way from the factory, or you do some fancy fabricating, hood scoops are mostly just for looks.
