Just wondering what you all think. Not for my yellow stang, but I thought these were a nice authentic retro touch..........

I like them. Those look nice, and should look nice on an '05 . . . if the prospective owner agrees.

I think they would look ok, but maybe a bit too retro for the car, at least for me.

I like the script one. I would never put the stickers on but one of these may do the trick. I most likely will not do it but given the choice I like the retro stuff.

One of the things I like about the new Mustang is that you can tell what it is with no badges.

That silver with red 65 emblem would look pretty good on my Silver with Red Interior GT if and when I get it. I wonder if it would fit correctly.

I dont have a pic of it, but the script emblem from the 1969 mustang is different, and I actually like that one better. A bit mroe retro.

I think it would look good on the back of the '05......

If they had a smaller script one that would be perfect on the dash passenger side

Rene'.....is this actual size on the script lettering? If not, what are the dimensions? I am wanting to find something like this for the 'dead area' of the dash above the glove box (on the aluminum though).

I do like the top one, might look good on a white with red stripes.
Found some more emblems, I think the California Mustang is the only one I found with classic emblems.

California Mustang: http://www.cal-mustang.com/
'65-'73 emblems: http://store.cal-mustang.com/cm_able/showp...ectGroup_ID=186

50Resto.com - not old emblems: http://secure.50resto.com/category.c...Category_ID=26

Age Classic - more not so old emblems: http://www.ageclassic.com/Merchant2/mercha...ategory_Code=16

YearOne - more emblems (didn't look at all, but don't think they are classic): http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/f...ain2.asp?cat=F

(better work right this time)

I hope you folks realize that these trim pieces are old tech and therefore are pin-mounted. That means you have to drill holes into the body to insert the little sleeve nuts that the trim pieces mount to!!

Not necessarily..... I think a bench grinder to eliminate the tabs would work just fine, and then a little bit of non-permanent adhesive of some type.....

Isn't the GT logo on the current stang attached the same way? ie pin? I know the Ford logo on the back of my '01 stang was attached that way. So no need to drill a hole, hole is already there.

2-sided automotive tape is probably the best, although it will be a PITA to trim

Simply cut off the pins. Then fill with your favorite filling material. Then sand/grind smooth. Then apply with 3-M Emblem Adhesive. Voila, done deal.

I think the 65-66 GT emblem is juuuust a tiny bit too old school looking. On the other hand, the 67 GT emblems are perfect. I put some on my 96 GT and they were subtle and classy. The pins trimmed off easily, and I used epoxy to hold them there. I'm sure something less permanent would be fine too. You couldn't see the hole in the fender behind/between the 67 emblems left by the stock badges at all, though it is a black car, so that might have helped.
