GT/CS cosmetic mods
Ray Man - yep it sure does look cool - subtle- looks factory OEM. What spoiler you workin with? did it cover the holes in the trunk lid left by the original?

Yeah, I have all the factory stuff too, just need to up date my mod list... have a few more going on now.

I tend to like to be different. Hate to look just like anybody else.

Don't worry, you will be there soon too!!! LOL
Andy, it's the GT-500 Shelby OEM spoiler. It uses the existing holes with no adjustments necessary.
I agree with the guys who kept all there parts I too kept all my stock parts except the wheels I did not need them since I went with the Saleen Big Brake Kit, Make the car your canvas and dare to be different regardless of what the purist say, when they pay your payments then do what they say untill then add your own flavor to it. Here is my CS some people dont like it but I do and I pay for it.

And although it offers no rollover protection - it is SAFER. hit the brakes and you have more bright red lights back there than a fire engine. Only someone on a cell phone while driving would miss it. LOL
Seriously, the new CDC light bars now have the wiring integrated so that when the top is up, the light bar high brake light is disabled. Without this feature, night time driving with the light going off inside when you tap the brakes would be a major distraction. The 1st generation light bars had this problem, but a $30 retrofit kit would fix it. As I mentioned, it is now built in at no extra cost.

HPwhitevert,
Nice job on your modifications. The car looks great. I like the light bar too. It has that 1968 Shelby convertible look. I have the 08 SGT convertible and I am modifying it with Shelby and and Ford Racing parts and like you am keeping all the parts to go back to original.

I'd be real interested to see what you are doing with your Shelby - post some pics. I'm trying to stick with Ford, Ford racing and Shelby Performance Parts too. My next mod is a FR strut tower brace to stiffen up the vert's slight cowl shake and then back springs to get the rear end down to the same attitude as the front - maybe a 1" drop in the rear, nothing radical - this GTCS is a cruiser, not a racer.
hey, I was looking at doing the same thing with the faux gas cap ! It is a "CS" after all! I wanted something other than "GT" on there to keep people guessing. However, those who know that it's actually a Shelby logo might accuse me of being a poser. Oh well...screw 'em !
Rob. I'm in same boat. I am replacing original CS faux gas cap with a Silverhorse Racing one that is black with a satin ring. I am looking for emblem to place in the plain area in middle of cap and have not found solution. I do not want anythting SHelby or Cobra as that would be incorrect. Right now I'm leaning towards the old '65 GT red/black fender emblem that I have seen Leo06gt use. I now I want to change it, but I don't what to do?

hey I know what you mean about the Snakes and the SHELBY logo - I wanted to avoid those also and I wish the current Shelby (with Scott Drake) made more parts - like wheel hubs, etc with the CS logo.. I really like the CS logo because it goes back to the days of Shelby American in LA, Calif and was mainly used for SA performance parts. To my knowledge, the CS script logo has NEVER been use on a Ford or Shelby automobile as a body trim piece. The only exceptions that I am aware of are the Dodge Shelbys (ugh) and the few disasters at Unique Performance.
