It won't fit quite right. there are some minor differences between the shapes of the V6 and GT grilles.

grilled

The grills are not interchangeable, the V6 and the GT have a different amount of mounting tabs where it pushes into the bumper, you can make it fit if you want it to look rigged and look like
crap if your going to do it take pride and do it right, trust me people will notice..

I have it on my car but it probably looks okay due to mine being black. Get the bullitt with a 68 pony if you want the V6 look

Also talk with Sound wave or Five Oh Brian, both are running the pony package grille with GT bumpers.

Hope this helps.

Glenn, the V6 grilles fit a lot easier in the GT bumper than most people thought. Mine came out looking like a factory install and it's so priceless how many people ask how I swapped a V8 into a V6 car, instead of considering that it was a V8 car to start with and just has V6 parts installed! Or, people will gravitate toward the supercharger when the hood is up and assume it's a supercharged V6, then eventually they notice 8 (not 6) bright blue fuel injectors and it finally clicks that it's a V8 car!

Here's a more recent pic of the V6 grille in my GT (taken while my GT was strapped to a dyno recently to tune the new supercharger)....

I just replaced the front bumper & grille on my V6 with GT units, so they fit perfectly...looks GREAT! I got the two pieces from Diversified Marketing (Take-Off) as a package deal for $380.

ONE THING nobody tell you though is that the splash sheilds inside the front fenders should be replaced with GT splash shields! The V6 shields are shorter and leave a gap between the GT bumper and the V6 shield (the bottom 2 screw holes end up without a connection point).

So I'm gonna order the GT splash shields & install them to make it look totally factory GT stock...

sorry, but you are WAY off. the only "negative" thing people have said is that they thought i had a v6 with GT badging. easier to catch people off guard with my turbo that way.

taking five oh brian's ideas and modifying it to my taste, the install looks nearly oem.

Yeah, when we put the GT bumper on my friend's V6, we learned that the splash shields are slightly different. It's a very, very small gap, so my friend decided not to buy the GT splash shields (his car is black, shields are black, the gap is in a shadow most of the time so most will never notice it). If it were my car, however, I would get the right splash shields to complete the swap 100%.

You also need the rock panel piece too.

Here's my Son's V6, with a GT "takeoff" GRILL & Fogs only installed. Had to do some drilling and cutting on the front valance to make the tabs work, etc. But well worth it - take a look.

I also put in a GT headlight switch with a wiring harness so they actually work right.
