GT Bumper
GT Bumper
I need some help if anyone could help. I bought a GT front bumper with fogs to replace my v6 pony package bumper and fogs. i want to install this my self but im not super savy in this. could you guys give me some tips? do i take off the fenders, anything else, can i leave the fenders on? thanks
You need to remove the plastic fender wells. Once removed you will see a bolt on each side of the bumper that really holds it in place. Leave those installed for now. Pop the hood. Remove the rad cover. Remove the 2 bolts that hold the top section of the bumper in place. Remove the 4 screws along the bottom of the bumper that holds the lower rad cover in place. Now remove the bolts located in the fender wells. Remove bumper. I think that covers it
Here's a link to the Roush front fascia installation:

They're pretty good except the part about the wheel well liiner. It's not real clear about what you have to do with it.
You don't have to remove the entire wheel well liner, just undo one fastener and pull it back a little.
Even though you're pulling off a V6 bumper and installing a GT, The first part of those instructions (GT bumper removal) will be very helpul.

BTW, there are some other parts you will need-you can email Kevin Casey at Clevenger Ford for what you will need. It includes both inner front splash shields, bumper top spacer insert, lower radiator valance and fasteners. He is the Official Parts Supplier for TMS.
