I got a heck of a deal on some 17" bullits for my car from another 2005 mustang owner. I read somewhere that the 17" bullits and tires will cause the speedo and such to be off, is it true?

Edit: If this is in the wrong forum or has been asked a million times my apologies!

Depends on what the stock tire/rim and bullitt 235 ratio is.

Just check on the tire calc site.

If its off, not only is your speedo, but your mileage will be too

You'll be making the rim bigger and the sidwall skinnier so you won't affect your speedo. Unless you left some fatties on there.
235/55/17 is stock, but you may go for some 255/50/17 for a better look (same overall diameter only wider so speedo will remain ok)

215*.65/25.4*2+16=27.0"

Doing the calculations. You need either the stock 17" size (235/55/17) or 255/50/17's just like ManEHawke said.

235/55/17's: 235*.55/25.4*2+17=27.2"

255/50/17's: 255*.50/25.4*2+17=27.0"
