$300 for tint! wow thats a rip off

 

But $3000 for the glassroof (part and labor) is not...

 

i am still freaking out with $300 for Tint, i paid $115 for all 5 windows and it has a lifetime warrenty, the most i would pay is $150 and i think Saleen gets their glassback from CDC and just make a minor mod here or there

 

That vehicle actually sold within 8 hours of being cleaned and put in the showroom

How does an all glass roof handle torque and twisting?

 

Its been extensively documented and tested to make the vehicle actually much stronger in torsional loads over the factory sheet metal. There's a 28 page article on it available from CDC.

 

Those glass roofs look incredible. I think it would be killer here in FL though, the car would be a sauna!

The saleen one is different then the CDC as it actually sits flush with no trim whatsoever on it. On a black car it is impossible to tell the difference without going up and looking through it. The CDC one sits about 1/2" higher and requires the trim from a pillar to back of the c pilar.

Speaking from personal experience, all glass roofs are hotter than HE!!.

My '07 Ford Edge has the Vista Roof option, and the sunshades do nothing to keep the heat out when parked.
the roof glass is Black tinted and still registers 40 to 50 degrees hotter than the outside ambient temp when taken with a lasar thermometer
gun.

Yes, my wife has a '07 Vert, but it is better insulated than a glass roof.
