Full Antenna Removal

I'm wanting to remove the entire antenna and base off the fender. How does the base come off. I can see how to unscrew the top but have no idea how to get the base off.

just pop the black plastic cover off......then there are 3 torx screws for the base

So you don't need to get under the fender? To unthread the cable from the stereo?

The wire will pull out of the base. It takes some convincing, but it does come out.
