Fuel doors on Vista Blue
I've been debating on whether or not to get a black anodized fuel door for my Stang. Please post pics of your Sonic or Vista blue Stangs with a fuel door. Any color is cool so I can get an idea what it looks like. I did a search but the resulting pages didn't show the pics.

I like the painted idea, too.

I was thinking of doing the same thing but wasn't sure if it would look too ricey. How much did Hireman charge you to paint it? Is that the Ford Racing door? Please let me know.

AFBLUE, yes windveil does look different depending on how the light hits it. It's not like chromeillusion or mystic paint but it can seem almost silver or grey some times and then other times it looks like a deeper blue, not Vista or Sonic but not pale either.
PANAMAJK89 - I would have answered earlier but I just got back from the NASCAR race in Joliet, IL. Looks like Bill already answered part of the question. I got my door off ebay. I had the guy send it directly to Bill for painting. He did a great job and it matches perfectly. The pictures don't do it justice.
I must give credit to Tucsondivots as he did it first and it was his pictures that got me to do it.

Canes Fan,
The piece pictured on the car above is one of ours. As to which one would take the paint the best, I'd recommend either the brushed or black anodized - both will scuff and shoot really easy if that is the direction you want to go in. Both the polished and chrome cost more, and I definitely would not buy the chrome one just to re-paint it.
Personally, I normally try to match up to the wheels, although on the darker blues, the polished or chrome-plated pieces really look nice as well. The choice is yours, but we have them all in stock, both with and without the GT lettering. We even have a few that have silver rings and black doors, if you really wanted something different - although we don't stock too many of those.
Email me if you have any other questions, I'll try and help.

thanks,

Thanks for posting your price, Hireman. I like the pictures of your work on your site and from what others have posted.
I'm going to see how I like it with brushed aluminum when I get it. Your work looks great, so the likelihood I send you my Ford Racing door to get it done in SS is pretty good if the factory finish doesn't meet my fancy.
