Fuel Door

Fuel Door
Just wanted to get some opinions. I was at a funeral home yesterday and after visitations came back out to find a dent in the middle of my fuel door. Cost to replace 180 dollars unfinished and then 30 to 40 for paint. I was thinking of putting a anodized black billet aluminum fuel door from silver horse racing on it. The car is red with a honeycomb blackout panel and black rocker panel stripes. How do you think it would look.

Just my opinion but look at your decklid, then look at the quarter panel. I chose to leave mine stock so it does not give the appearance of dual tanks. But I do agree, Silver Horse Racing has awesome fuel doors.

(Pictures) Thanks for all of the replies. About knocking the dent out or getting dent wizard to do it, I can't becuase it is behind the framework in the door. Besides it is a very large dent right on the body line and I don't think dent wizard could take car of it.

Is it just me or does that appear to be a little too deep to be an accident?
I would suggest that someone would have to have a real hate on in order to cause a dent like that.

I also agree that not having it in body color draws too much attention to that area. I realy like the one posted here that is painted to match, leaving only the screws chromed. Reminds me of the fuel doors from the Hyundai Tiburon. Looks great!

That's what I'm talkin bout! I've never been over fond of the contrasting fuel door either, but that painted SHR one looks great.
I agree too, that it may not have been an accident. That's quite a dinger! moot point now I guess. If your going back with the factory style it's a painted replacment. Don't let anyone mud it!
