FRPP/SVT 18" x 8.5" Chrome Bullitts?

I'm seriously considering this wheel but no one seems to be running them. I'm curious to hear some of your opinions on them. If anyone can find pics of them on another stang and post them, I would be grateful.

They are +50 offset, 5 x 114 bolt pattern, and weigh 26.6lbs (Per Tire Rack).

My second, and only other option is the American Racing Shelby Torq Thrust M - Chrome 18" x 9". They are +34 offset, 5 x 114, 26lbs. (Per Tire Rack). I'm not sure if these will clear the GT500 brakes that I eventually plan on adding. I will be running the same tire and wheel size for whichever one I choose.

Actually, a lot of people are running the first ones. Those are the "18" polished upgrade wheels" from 2006 and 2007. Only difference is, those are chrome. They're good looking wheels, but I would go with the CS version if it's between those two. Less people have the CS ones, and they're 9" wide, as opposed to 8.5". I've got 18x9's, and wish I'd gotten 18x10's now. Buying an 8.5" wide wheel just doesn't seem like much of an upgrade.

Here's a couple of pictures of the polished version

Yeah, I knew they were the chrome version of the polished wheel. After seeing all of those polished wheel pics together I think it would be hard to tell the chrome apart from them.

I'll take your advice and go with the Shelby's. But between your regrets, and the needed clearance for bigger brakes, you have me thinking about going with the 18 x 10's all around. The 10's are 27lbs +45 offset.

I found out that the Shelby 10's won't work on the fronts, and the 9's won't clear the GT500 brakes. I wasn't planning on purchasing the big brakes anytime soon so I won't let that stop me from getting the wheels.

When I bought my car, I told them I would buy it if they put those wheels on so they did. I'm glad I got them and love the look, but I didn't realize at the time they were 8.5", had I known that, I probably would have waited and gotten the 18X10's.

Here's how they look...

This one's an older pic before the hood...

Hey Chuck!
I actually didn't think of that. I used spacers on my Terminator when I went with 10.5 wheels out back.

I uploaded a small pic of how they both would look on a similar stang. Don't let the shading fool ya. Not that much difference, IMO.

Thanks for posting the pics, ScottM.
