I just ordered the factory one, I think it retails for like $17 and I got it for under $10. I don't mind the ones with the recessed frame edge. I hate front licence plate frames but also hate a plate just bolted to the bumper. The SVT mustangs/foci always had the extra bracket.

You pull up any exploded view of the bumper and it is right there in the pic. Took my parts guy .001 sec to find it. Kevin can probably look it up or I will get the stock# monday when its in.

OK. OK, I pulled out my records today - after driving around top down all day - the part number for the factory GT front bracket is :

7R3Z*17A385*CA.

Look at my post. That's the bracket I used.
I didn't drill any d@mm holes though.
When I take mine off it looks like nothing was ever there.

Keep in mind that the Texas law only says it must be visible from the front. It doesn't say anything about where it must be mounted. Some people at the meet-ups I go to have it either suction cupped to the front window in the corner, or on velcro attached to the passenger visor.

A thread on SVTPeformance.com about plates in Texas has 2 police posting in that, stating the front visibility aspect.

I have the bracket from Fasttrack myself.

Bleg I tried the bracket and didn't like it, so I just mounted it normally. The shadow from the point in the nose looks awkward at times anyway.

Good even at very high speed and comes off in a minute when you want no plate.
That's perfect. I could see doing it with zip ties instead of velcro (not too concerned about quick removal), but very non-intrusive and clean way of doing it.

That's the California Special bracket, I've got one as well. I actually haven't installed it yet, but it's in my trunk for that day that I finally get pulled over for this For those that want one you can get it from Kevin at Clevenger Ford (he posts here a lot).

I love the one that slides out from the bottom. Motorize that sucker and control it from a switch in the cockpit and I'm in, for sure. "What do you mean no front plate, officer? Go check again." :-)
