I kinda like the current grille pattern because it has a broader look... like the had to stretch it to squeeze the motor in.

I like the larger pattern better myself (although I'd really like to have the more stylized horse from the concept car). Good thing Ford used the one I like. There's probably several grand worth of upgrades that won't get purchased, but at least I don't have to add that to the list.

Please excuse me for being grumpy - I don't expect to place my order until after New Years.

I don't care much about the grill, but I love the 99-04 pony with the border around it. I'm NOT the type to mod a car... I hate mods. But I might have to find a way to get that '04 pony

mmm...i think the snakes a lil' too big. i'm sure the cobra is gunna look hot once they get it all planned out. maybe they'll switch up the grill a little. move the second set of lights to a more "concept-like" location in the bumper or something. who knows.

I personally like the pony with the outline too. But I don't think it will look right on the '05. The reason it looks so good on the '04 is because the grill has the same profile as the outline around the mustang (see the picture at the top of this thread). I just don't think it will look right with the ourline of the '05 grill. I personally like the retro horse on the new '05 grill. It works well with the styling of the car. And the stretched honeycomb works well with the wide opening in the grill. I won't change that. The one thing I don't like about this car is the hood. At some point I will get a new hood... preferrably like the one on the concept car.

BidD I don't care for the grill with the Cobra on it. Looks like a fence or something. Cobra is too big also, but the grill design is worse.

I think that the old style pony in the corral and the bars running out to the fog lights would look prety good!

Thats the 'corral' around the pony. It disappeared from the bullitt, mach, and cobra because they had 'broken free'. I think the 05's exact reproduction of the original was the way to go myself.

I never have liked the Cobra in the grille. The pony just looks much better there.

Kevin, if you had your way would the 05 have the traditional pony or the stylized one from the concept vehicles?

Keep the pony free. No fences!

I like the 05 grill better with the traditional pony. No corral for my pony either!

I like the overall apearance of the 05's grill, it reminds me of the stretched Honey Comb used on a 73 Mach 1. What I don't like is all of the Molded In, Closed Openings. I know why they're there, but I would have rather had an Open Honey Comb Grill, with some sort of seperate backing panel that wouldn't catch bugs in the corners of all of those Blocked Openings. As for the "Corral" on the 99-04's and even "Classic Stangs" I don't like it, I never have! A Mustang is supposed to be a Wild Horse, Not a Pinned up Pony!
