Ford OEM GT500 Ducktail Spoiler

Is it possible to buy a Ford OEM GT 500 Shelby rear ducktail spoiler already painted. I have seen several of the GT 500 style that are painted but not the OEM version.

I don't think so. I looked for awhile with no luck.

unfortunately no, the only ones that I have come across that come painted are all aftermarket. when I did my GT500/KR conversion, I had to buy the stock one from Ford and have it painted.....cost me more than the ones that other people are using, but that's the route I wanted to go to make sure I didn't have any problems down the road

I have never seen one pre-painted. I had the Ford body shop paint mine and it came out great, but they charged $300.00 for paint and install.

You can buy them here through Kevin Casey and have them match the paint at your local body shop.

I really can't complain, they did a great job w/a lifetime guarantee. And from what I've heard, taking the stocker off is either easy, or a real pita; and mine was a pita.

yep, you really have to take your time when removing the stock GT spoiler.

They had to use a heat gun to loosen the adhesive. Something I don't have. I wasn't there when they did it, but they said there was some lifting of the sheet metal before they applied the heat. There was no damage, but I'm glad I didn't see it.

Is that your car in your avatar? If so, I love the look.
