Flat Black paint ?

Help,
What is that flat black paint like used for hoods and rear spoilers? You know that old school look. Paint code and iny info on it would be great. Is it good or a problem? I like the look and want to use it on my new Vapor if it's not troublesome.

i used Eastwoods rat rod black on mine, its flat black, and supposedly it will not chalk up or turn white if you get wax on it.....

i have not tested it yet really other than turtle wax ice... which looks really good on it btw

if you browse their site and look for the rat rod black you will find it

For the ICE, read here - http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=464734
As for paint, DuPont has "Hot Rod" black. I think it's more satin than flat though. But it's the same deal with the wax not staining the paint.

I used regular black base and then used a flat clear, I havent had any major issues with it, but i am extremely carefull with the care of it. I have microfiber towels just for the flat black, I wish i had done some more research and used what nate used on his ride.

My stripes were done with the Dupont hot rod black almost 3 years ago now and the still look good as new. Not a true flat black as mentioned but I really like it.

I like the black on the hood and spoiler, on most colors, but what about silver? Has anyone seen this combo?

Seems like a natural combination.
