After 2 months of frustration I finally finished up the stripes on the car.
check it out at http://psaredsox.expage.com/2005mustanggt

Also want to put a hood scoop on the hood but not sure to make the scoop all black or match it with the stripes.

Nice! Did you do the stripe job yourself?

You did an excellent job. I remember looking at your pics when you were not finished yet. They look great.

The little bubbles , I used a water soap mix to put the stripes on so didnt have but a few bubbles and I used a stick pin to pop the bubbles and then smoothed them out with my finger.
If you need more detail just let me know.

Nice work. Here is a tip for ya. If the stripes are put on dry (only attempt this if you know what you are doing) you will never have bubbles to pop. If you do get bubbles when installing them wet try to move most of them out to the outer edgdes. The stubborn ones just need a little pin ***** to get the air out.

Car looks great.

Did you buy bulk material or was it a kit?

I bought a kit but did not like the setup so bought bulk and used the kit as a guide.

I had a highly recommended striper put stripes on my car yesterday - dark blue on a White GT. He worked in the dealer's prep area, so the car was warm, and I was told he put the stripes on dry.

I saw some previous stripes he did on other 05 GTs, and they were flawless.

However, when I went to pick up the car from the dealer, a couple of people mentioned the number of bubbles in the stripes, and yes, there are quite a few tiny ones.

Will these disappear, or what has to be done here? Right now the car is at home, sitting outside in this winter weather, but will go into storage (air temperature, not heated) asap, until I can drive it on decent roads.

Help!

I know when I did mine that some of the bubbles went away when the stripes settled. But of course I did mine wet not dry. I would ask the stripe place you had them done at.
Sorry I couldnt help more.

Any advice on the dry method? I've put a few decals on at work (dry) and I've never been satisfied with the result. The amount of bubbles I get is fine for the work trucks we build, but not for my car.
