Fiberglass Hoods, do they crack, warp, fade, etc?

Several people have told me that fiberglass hoods will eventually start to crack, warp due to heat, and fade. Can anyone give me some input on this? Thanks.

the only problem I have had on mine is that the threads (from the hinges) strip out of the fibreglass, and then are impossible screw back in...I Glued it back in..lol...maybe this is just the constuction of the hood...I should think the attachment points should be metal....but oh well...its been fine for the 7 years I've had it untill last summer. I never had any other problems.

I've had one on my 05 for over 2 years now and no problems at all. I put one on my last mustang and it was still fine 13 years later when I sold it ...

I had to drive mine around for over 2 weeks so that it could do its reshaping before the guy would even touch it. If you go to a quality painter/body shop, you shouldn't have any problems
