I'm partial to the CDC/Foose hood. It's aluminum instead of fiberglass so won't warp over time.

I have been thinking about which hood to go with also. Im not 100% ready to buy one yet but so far im leaning towards that Saleen... does anyone make a plain old 2" cowl for these? Ive seen them in a 4" but its hard enough to see out of the car now (i like to keep my seat low)

You can get a fiberglass version on ebay for around 800. Anybody got the fiberglass version? Does it rattle or lift at high speed?
I got the aluminum one from Haney Motorsport for around $700.

Got it because I dig the look and because I've got the Saleen blower

That 3DCarbon hood has always been a favorite of mine. Here are some in the carbon fiber flavor, all functional heat extractors:

Yikes! I just looked at his site and his prices have gone WAAAAY up!

When I originally ordered from him he only had the fiberglass hood listed.

I called to see about the aluminum one and he had to order it... didn't usually carry it.

Well I guess I must have just gotten lucky. Becuase MAN is he charging a lot more than what he charged me.

I checked my original price on it and it was not around 700 it was closer to 900. Sorry about that. But it's still a far cry from the 1500 he's charging now ouch!

BTW he also used to have the Saleen brake kit for 1400 (I know because I almost bought one the same time I got the hood) and now it's like 1800.

So I guess Saleen must have upped the price on their parts or something.
