Both of them are, because the hood is curved, the plates are flat and I used pop rivets to fasten them, instead of the supplied screws. I don't mind it though, normally it can hardly be seen.
Your car is looking great, If I may ask your hood pin placement is there a reason for that location, or is that just preference!
A bit of both: the pins I had purchased were unsuitable for the "usual" location due to being slightly shorter and I was about to go on a 2000 mile trip 2 days later, so I needed to install them; I decided for this location after realising I liked it and it was also something different.

To be 100% honest, I don't remember anymore. But it's the SSE black chrome grille insert, (SSE part #950-76946) which you can buy from many stores. Sadly it's NOT a grille replacement, rather sort of an overlay. The pony emblem is a '69 grille pony with brackets from John's Mustang: http://johnsmustang.com/Parts/details-3491.html
