Hi, has anyone experience with the Steeda 20''/9.5 Rims?

Would appreciate pro/cons.

I don't have them but a friend on mine has the Satin Ultra-Lites.

Pros: Look good, good quality, Steeda is good to deal with (always have met or exceeded my expectations when dealing with them direct).

Cons: Loss of RWHP (any 20" wheel will cause this but not a problem unless you are a HP junkie and look to squeeze every ounce out of your car. Curbs (also any 20" wheel) , rubbing curbs will scrape the rim because of the low profile.

All in all a nice wheel. Nicely crafted, not to flashy. Here are some pics of my friends.

I'll go with the 20'' Chrome Rims as I think they gonna fit better to my Sonic-Blue color.

I've once made some photo-shop pics with bling-blings and some satin silver rims. I think chrome just looks better on my stang:

They will look good in Chrome. The spokes are not boeefy so they won't be "over the top" if your not into that. I also saw a set of chromes on a Vista Blue Stang at the Steeda Stampeed. What will make them look even better is a front fascia or chin spoiler. On my friends car to me there is not enough beef on the front to go with this style rim (IMO). The Steeda fascia and street or race hood really bring them out. Not my style but believe me if you haven't seen the Steeda stuff in person, it looks 100 time better then pics but you got some stuff going on already.

The loss of power doesn't all come from the increased weight. So no, even ultra lites aren't going to give you the same preformance of say 15s.

dang those 20's make the stock brakes look tiny and weak i say 14" brake kit or atleast some upgraded drilled rotors would make up for it

Another Q:

What is the max. tire-size you can fit on 20''/9.5'' Steeda Rims?

I've heard max. could be 275 an min. 245. Is this correct?

I plan for the front: 255

For the rear: 275, ideally 285

No expert on this but it has to with the size of the wheel and it's rotaion against the gear rotation (larger wheel, longer rotaion). Same as when I used to race karts, When going from a 5" rim to a 6" rim it I had to change the rear gear as well (I think I went to a larger rear gear) to make up for the loss of RPM's needed for a paticular track. Take a look at Roush's new "Drag Pack" car, look at the wheels.

You will notice that anyone running there cars at the strips are usually not only using drag radials, but smaller wheels. 20" are for mainly look.

I am sure someone with a little more in depth knowledge will chime in.

I'll see whhat my buddy is running and try to get some info from Steeda since it is a local call for me but they are on the boards here as well so maybe one of them will see this post.

if it is a 9.5 i think you could hold a 285 but i know there is a tire i found that is a 275 but looks like a 315

I called the chaps from Steeda and they recommend 255/35-20.

Called a bit around and asked some guys of my club and they recommended the following:

255/35-R20 Front
275/35-R20 Rear

for the 9.5'' rims.

Any objections from your end?
