Exhaust tips red?
Okay I have a satin silver mustang and I'm doing a red/silver blackout look. I'm going to paint my pony in the grille, gt emblems, and calipers red this weakened. I'm also going to paint my axel backs if people paint exhaust pipes they do black. But I was thinking about being different and continuing the red look.
I just can't decide red or black for the tips. Any help would be appreciated.

Indeed. Which is why I don't know why you even said anything, this sounds completely win.
In addition to the aforementioned mods, I think you need to do the calipers while you're doing the rotors. And since you're doing the pony and side emblems, as well as those muffler tips, are you also doing the faux cap? Because you might as well cover them all.
And while you're going on with the red theme, you need a couple of red stripes to really accent that. Two from front to back, and be sure to do it right, all the way to the floor. Oh, and the wheel caps? Totally need those red too, with tapeoff to reveal the pony or Ford or whatever the inside of them are.
And a great big Daytona type wing. Red, of course.
OOooh, get those nifty tires that burn red smoke on that thing. Gotta do that. You have a GT, so you can do it.
Do the mirrors too.
And red tint.
Be sure to altezza the lights though. That has to be done.
And a Classic chin spoiler in red, and the sill plates red, and the rear lip of the bumper red too.
And paint the insides of your wheels LS style. That'll be a must.
And paint the washer squirters red.
And the door handles. Yes. Must.
Wait, I have it. I *have* it. Put a 2" lift kit and put 20s with the off road knobbies on it, and a couple of steps to get in the thing that retract when the doors are closed.
And of course, get the pony puddle lamp mirrors (painted red), and change the light to red too.
Man... that'll be Serious Sex on Wheels. Post pics of the journey to completion!
/ TL;DR. No. Just... no. Matter of fact, just do the rotors/calipers and be done with it, would be my pick.

Ok I get it. That's what I thought. Didn't have to go that far. I get your point. I just hate chrome.
And you forgot the red led lights.

OP: Hmm tough call. Personally id go black tips but ive never seen any other color painted or piwdercoated.
That's what I was going to do but I was just wondering if anyone's ever seen anything like it. The chrome looks good on any other color but silver. The chrome and silver are too close in color so it doesn't pop out it kinda blends.
They make colored plasti-dip but idk how it would hold up to the constant heat

OP: I'd plasti dip and just check how you like it, I'm gonna plastidip mine white to see how I like it when I get my PJ rear bumper on. Anything you want to accent just try in plasti dip first! Even if it won't hold up to the heat you just need to look at it for awhile.

Yeah, I am teh sorries. I just sorta went overboard when I kept thinking of things you could paint red, and... well, there ya go.
But you know what? Someone would. That was what got me goin'. And you see the proof above me, two posts.
But yeah, I was very unfriendly there... I just.. was lettin' it flow outta me, the prose of win that was my imagination of what all could be done with the red. I apologize to all. Can't say I won't have weird moments like that again though. I do that sometimes, just look at my postings. And my avatar. If you don't know Gir...
/Oh, and I didn't forget the lights, I said to altezza them, which was a kit you could buy for all kinds of different cars. I should have said to 'be sure to get those chromed out lights' instead.
//No, wait, you're talking about the interior ones, as well as the floating kit under it. Yeah. That has to go on too.
///Someone do a 'shop. That has to be totally hideous. Unless all the red were outlined in black. Then it'll be ok.

I would check and make sure it is legal to paint the tips red. I would think they would be very distracting to a driver behind you.
Taste and what everyone else thinks is irrelevant unless they are footing the bill on your car. Have fun, it's YOUR ride.

Lol I sure it's not illegal
