Engine Bay Lighting
Mount a small battery in the trunk, run your wires to the engine bay and mount a rocker/toggle switch in the center console. Charge the battery before shows with a car charger or hook it up to your alternator.
I have one of these:

It charges via the 12v outlet and uses its onboard outlet to power my lights. I carry my lights from car to car depending on which one I'm taking to a show. I just lay the thing on the ground under the car and drop the light plug to it through the engine bay. This way, the lights are positional and I can put them wherever I want with no wires in sight..
Good luck and let us know what you do..
