Hey..anybody have an electric/retractable antenna?

Where did you get it and how is it working?

What with a car cover and all, I don't want to keep using that 3/8th wrench every time I put the cover on.

I have asked this question a couple of times as well as information about the power antenna lead. No one ever responded.

Look up and call some of your local auto sound shops. You can probably get some information from them more quickly on this issue that way.

Then you can post what you learned and be THE ONE with the scoop!

I had a power antenna on many of my cars and it was always a PITA. The motor would wear out, sometimes it wouldn't go up, sometimes it wouldn't go down.

I wound up installing an amplified windshiled mounted antenna and replaced the antenna whip with a small screw. The reception is escallent with the amplified antenna. I would even say that it is better the the original antenna. Eventaullay, I removed the antenna base and had the hole filled in and painted. It came out really nice, you can't tell it was ever there.

I wrote up a set of instructions. The amplified antenna is about $20. Just look on google for the P/N in the instructions, you'll find a few sources.
