Which Ducktail spoiler ?

Congrats on getting the Cervinis C-Series ducktail!1 I love mine!!! the only thing I hated was the 3rd brake light.. so when I had it paint and installed...I had the body shop cover up the 3rd brake light and paint the whole thing. Its a real low key difference but I love it! I think the 3rd brake light really ruins the look from the back. I know everyone will as about being stopped and I had the body shop install a LED light on the inside of the car off the rear window.. they wired it to the brakes so its still a legal 3rd light but you only see it when Im pressing the brakes. I'll post pics later.

I guess I am one of the few that actually like the 3rd brake light feature, its one of reasons I went with the Cervini, besides the fact it looks the best and covers the factory holes. Still waiting on it to show up!

After all, this isn't a kit car (and even they have rules).

Probably the aftermarket manufacturer thought it best not to have any liability in case the person buying the product didn't relocate the 3rd light to a different position. They would not want to facilitate an illegal act by virtue of their design offering no means of alternate mounting of the light.

We do have parts that arent necessarily legal in CA (Granatelli and Turbonetics single turbo systems for Mustangs) - so it wasnt a CA only issue for sure.

Actually no - you cant do 'whatever' to your car at all. There are many fedral laws pertaining to safety issues with your car (ie: seat belts, air bags, etc). The 3rd brake lihgt is considered a safety issue.I tried to do some research this evening and didnt find anything specific to the 3rd brake light. Just what I was told when I questiond it at work.

Well I just dropped it off at the body shop. I am a little upset that these thing cost so much to prep and paint but what can you do?
I wish Cervini would make a better product that did not require so much prep work but maybe its the norm?
Anyway as soon as I get over the intial costs I am sure I will be excited about it again.
